Memorable Family Session at Clarks Hill Lake, South Carolina | Hope Believe Photography


This family session at Clarks Hill Lake was truly special. Jocilyn, Max, and their two beautiful children, Ollie and Emilie, were an absolute joy to work with. The lakeside setting was perfect for family photography at Clarks Hill Lake, and although we were a little concerned about how Miss Emilie would handle a session right at her bedtime, she blew us all away with her energy and excitement. She’s the cutest little wildchild who couldn’t get enough of the water, splashing around and giggling the entire time.


Ollie, her older brother, took a more thoughtful approach, showing me all the cool rocks he discovered along the beach and getting a thrill from tossing them into the lake. His quiet but curious nature balanced out the session beautifully. The way he engaged with the world around him reminded me how precious and individual each child’s personality is. It was such a joy capturing these child portraits in such a stunning, natural location.


Mom and Dad, Jocilyn and Max, were such great sports throughout the entire session. Their relaxed and playful energy allowed me to capture those candid, beautiful moments of them just being together—playing, laughing, and making memories. Candid family photos like these are exactly what Hope Believe Photography is all about: capturing the genuine love and connection between families. The lakeside family session setting only added to the magic of these moments.
